Thoughts On The Coronavirus And Music
Because of the coronavirus
pandemic, several music events have been canceled or postponed, including South
By Southwest, Ultra Music Festival, Stagecoach Festival, and The Coachella
Valley Music And Arts Festival. This will likely have a serious negative impact
on many musicians who make their living by performing and selling merchandise
on the road. So if a concert you had planned to attend is canceled or
postponed, consider ordering some records or CDs from the artists in the
meantime. Likewise, if fear of contracting the virus is keeping you from
attending a concert that has not been canceled, help out the bands by
purchasing copies of their new albums through their websites. That way, in
addition to supporting the musicians, you will have a stack of new discs to
listen to in the event you decide to quarantine yourself before this thing is
over. In addition to stocking up on water and toilet paper, build yourself a
nice stockpile of records and compact discs. Then you can enjoy some good music
while the world falls into chaos and disrepair outside.
