Yesterday the Eclectic Music Festival And Arts Crawl
returned to South Pasadena and a two-year absence due to the pandemic. There
were vendors selling jewelry, clothing, food and drink, and – more importantly
– there were several stages set up throughout the area featuring a wide range
of musical talent. The festival started at 3 p.m., and the first band to play
at the Old Focals Stage (so named because it was directly outside a store called
Old Focals) was Double Naught Spy Car. This band was also the only band at the
festival, as far as I know, to be given the time for two full sets. And that is
where we started our afternoon. It was a total treat to get to see these guys
again (it had been several years since I’d last seen them play), and they put on a great show. I was dancing
through their sets, but did take a few photos.
Old Focals is located at 1110 Mission St., in South
Pasadena. The people who were working in the store at the time were incredibly
friendly.
